I use this qing duanni teapot for individual sessions of gongfu tea brewing. I have dedicated it to fanghuang dancong oolong teas such as the honey orchid aroma varietal. The tea is given a rich mouthfeel and maintains natural aroma and flavor, but the clay helps cut down on astringent and bitter flavors. A decent quality pour from the spout creates some splashing yet it empties quickly! Very nice for teas like dancong oolong which require fast steeping. The qing duanni clay does not take on shine as quickly as a lüni clay would, but it is beautiful with speckles of the mixed clays giving a rich texture and look to this teapot.
